Oh yeah...
The other thing I was feeling too wierd lately to mention at the time, are several new links over there -------->. I put the new band’s myspace (rough demos so far), as well as more of myfacespacebook stuff of my own. But most notably is Flor y Canto by El Poquito. It is new age, it is about healing, acceptance and death and yet it doesn’t make me retch at all, in fact it doesn’t even make me cringe. Actually, I must even go so far as to say I really, deeply, appreciate it. But that shouldn’t surprise me as it’s written by one of the most genuine, and truly altruistic people I’ve yet known.

I love it... made me laugh. My only exception to your description is that nuage does make me retch and cringe and I'd rather be considered "old school" - like really old school - like old as dirt old school...
Thanks for linking me up and the kind words... Reminds me of one of the best compliments I ever heard, "you're a good human being." doesn't get any better or clearer than that. If folks would point that out to one another occasionally, like when they catch us in a moment of being a "good human -being", well then I suppose it would reinforce that behavior.
So Stell, being one of the more authentic, real folks I've met - back atcha - "you're a good human being" So let that soak in for a moment.

Hah it took me a couple minutes to decipher nuage. I was racking my brains to try to figure out what borrowed from French expression, that was. (I was reading it as "nuajhe").
And no offense intended it's just that things of that type, if it was in a book store, would be lumped into New Age as if expressing ourselves, dealing with healing, and coping was some outre' act that they would never have considered in the fifties or before....
This is why Flor is good, it transcends that "nuage" crap by leaps and bounds staying WAY out of the realm of the masturbatory, which is the watermark of new age lit. and activity.

yeah, so we share a disdain for watered down feel good happy happy thoughts will fix any and all... ok so i'm just a tad cynical...
anyway the spelling might not be quite right to rhyme with sewage, but that's how i pronounce it.
