Sunday Morning Subtle But Obvious Organized Self Abuse Swim Club

I have a lot of memories, I seem to not be able to shut up the monkey mind, I over analyze. I now get to do all that while learning to type.

Whose got segmented eyes?

Mmm gettin’ up real, real, early and watching good cartoons. The first Rugrats & Rocko’s Modern Life and best of all, the original Ren & Stimpy. Granted I didn’t have the childhood bowl of cereal. Opting instead for the same old, same old tea and toast.

Then wonder of wonders, oh joy, a commercial for “Creepy Crawlers” came on. Oh Mama! I want that!
See, when we used to have those and “Incredible Edibles”, I was too little to do the squeezing. I didn’t get to design ‘em and I didn’t get to get close enough to the hot plates to tweeze them out with the great precision my lack of fine motor skills contraindicated.

And now back to “Ren & Stimpy”. It’s not that I didn’t painstakingly record every single, real John K. episode, cuz I did, all the way up to “Powdered Toast Man”. After they stole it away from him (or however it went down) it just got real stale.

Too bad now they are on to a bunch of more recent stuff. Which basically just can’t measure up. Since I cooked on Monday (we’ve been eating bird all week) and I got up and vacuumed at 6:00am, I guess I get to spend some time switching between parades and Ghost Hunters.

Yes, it's the good old blood rituals that tickle our past life sensibilities so lovingly.

I'll likely never stop eating meat, but I recently grew tired of participating in just so many, blood rituals, and have cut back a bit.

If only I could have a kitchen prepper, helper who could help me/teach me Thai, Ethiopian, Indian, Chinese, and Japanese cookery we'd be way set.

I am slowly, slowly teaching myself Indian. I make a really mean cilantro chutney, but that's about the height of that accomplishment.

Chinese and Korean cooking are, so far, the only way I can deal with Tofu. We had a roommate who worked at a tofu factory and brought home buckets of the by-product that I can't remember the name of.
He was convinced he was going to find a million dollar use for it. I tried to convince him that if a thousand year old culture hadn't yet, probably it's best use was feeding to pigs. We like healthy pigs.

Man did I LOVE Ren & Stimpy. And I'll always remember Powdered Toast Man saying "Are you clinging tenaciously to my buttox?"

Can't really add much to that, you're dead on as usual.
And I've exhausted my knowledge of tofu as well...

what is left after making Tofu is okara. I tried a bunch of recipes with it over a decade or so and decided it was meant to be compost.

It is the waste after making soymilk which is then curdled to make tofu. it is a lot to waste, but it just isn't tasty to eat no matter what you do. It probably adds good stuff to the soil though.
