LFMCoF # 19

While boiled, buttered & salted, cabbage with caraway seed is a fairly standard Eastern European peasant food, the same cabbage with cumin seed is rather a nonstandard eye opener. Moral of the story: Best to keep caraway, cumin and fennel seeds in different parts of the spice rack.

Yesterdays market smelt of small children and Sno-cones
Flowerscent had to compete so it stayed to the outskirts
Nodding and smiling to all people I knew
I had three incomparable C's laid out on the stoop
Tried getting through to the hospital
and oblivious dads parked squalling infants in my face

You will always need more counter space/elbow room than you have available. That lovely, expensive, bottle of Pomegranate Molasses that you just recently realized how delightful and useful it really is? It’s much easier to just move it to safety than to clean it off the floor.

LFMCoF # 15

The pie (no matter what kind, but especially the one with gravy) will always overflow the pie plate and the baking sweet potatoes will always goo. It is quicker and easier to get that baking sheet out and place it underneath, than to clean the oven, lazy girl.
