Sunday Morning Subtle But Obvious Organized Self Abuse Swim Club

I have a lot of memories, I seem to not be able to shut up the monkey mind, I over analyze. I now get to do all that while learning to type.

Speaking of Music

All right you kids, that is, you out of town kids, this is it. Swimclub Radio II is going into production now that I’m unemployed again. If you are in, make some feeble beckoning motions, otherwise I am proceeding without you. That would make it a small production, just amongst us, cool, townie, types.

I know I’ve been lax on cracking the whip on ya’s, but now that Uncle Bunny is safely and thoroughly packed off to Houston (forever), I can suddenly have a life again. And the first order of business in that new life was cooking my ass off this weekend, followed by a burst of well intentioned, but possibly futile, busy work, starting today.

So what’s the deal-io? Is ya in or is ya out?

OK Kiddles

It’s the 16th. So how's everybody (barring UBU, Nigel, & Oliver) doing on their SCRII editions? I have my list but not my disc. I’ve been busy breaking in the new machine for which I sold my soul, yet again. It’s great to have great credit. I can completely overcommit and screw myself w/out even having a job.
EDIT: On the irony of typing this, on this box, while having just gone to the food bank. Odd you say? But they don’t give you food on credit.

SwimClub Radio II

Ok pals, it’s July 1st. Time to pledge yer troth to SCII. So far I have Archfiend, UBU, Oliver and Nigel roped in. I even already have Oliver and Nigels second round entries.
So if you want in (or out for that matter), speak up, and I would like to have the entries by the 15th....

Danger Will Robinson

One of my readers from upstate NY has expressed interest in the SwimClub Radio project.
So, due to new contestants, I am announcing phase II. This time pick yer choicey, either: a look into your all-time musical soul, your all-time summer music or the stuff that totally rules your musical world in this moment.

Due to some extreme computer issues there is probably a fair amount of go time available to willing participants. Let’s say, try to inform me of your intention to play by July 1st. Then get me your submission by July 15th. Hopefully by then I’ll have found financing for a new laptop or have had the current lil’ missy repaired.

Also:
Future SwimClub Radio projects to think about in the interim:
an all the best train songs disc,
an all satellite songs disc,
and an all drugs songs disc (not including booze, that would have to be it’s own disc and I’m not sure I am interested in that).
These would work a little differently-
I would have people suggest the songs for the category, if I couldn’t get hold of them myself they might have to supply them, then I would make the comps. and send them out.
I am particularly interested in the satellite one at the moment. I have thought of about five songs with satellite in them and am anxious to know if there are more....
Satellite of Love
Planet Clare
That Trio song
That Elvis Costello song
That Luscious Jackson song
I’m sure between the lot of us we can come up with 20 or 25 can’t we?
